Whole houses, single rooms and everything between. Careful preparation, hand cut-in edges and a finish that still looks right years after we have packed up. We have been doing this work in Hampton and the streets around it for decades.
Riverside cottages, Victorian and Edwardian terraces off Station Road, and 1930s semis towards Nurserylands. That mix shapes how we approach interior painting and decorating here: the preparation is the job, and the topcoat is what you see at the end of it.
Most interior jobs we are called to have the same story behind them: a previous decorator painted over the problem instead of fixing it. Filler that was never sanded flat, hairline cracks that opened again over the winter, gloss laid straight onto bare knots. We take the time to put that right first, because the topcoat only ever looks as good as what sits underneath it.
A typical room means sheeting and masking, filling and caulking, sanding back, spot-priming any bare or repaired areas, then two full coats. Woodwork is de-nibbed between coats. Ceilings are cut in by hand rather than taped. We work in the order that keeps dust off finished surfaces, and the room is tidy at the end of every day, not just the last one.
Hampton is home, so it is the area we know best. Between the riverside cottages near Hampton Court, the Edwardian and Victorian terraces off Station Road and the interwar semis spreading towards Hampton Nurserylands, we have worked on most of the housing types here more than once, often the same house twice, a decade apart.
