Exterior work is won or lost on preparation. We wash down, scrape back anything loose, treat bare timber and rake out failed filler before a brush goes near a topcoat. Wet rot in sills and frames is cut out and made good rather than covered up.
Houses close to the river take more weather than most. South-facing render and west-facing woodwork are the first things to go, and they are the first things we check when we come to price. We will tell you which elevations genuinely need doing this year and which can wait, rather than quoting the whole house because it is easier.
TW1 and TW2 cover a wide spread of housing, and the jobs vary with it: full exterior schemes on large Victorian houses, hallway and stairwell work in terraces, and kitchen cabinetry in the newer semis.
